Holiday fun

There are heaps of great things happening in our library branches over the holidays.  We are currently partcipating in the Summer Reading Club which is coordinated by the State Library of Queensland.  It looks like about 400 children across the Shire of Campaspe have registered to take part which involves filling out a reading log with the aim of reading 10 books over the summer holidays.  There are some fantastic prizes on offer, as well as great rewards for completing a reading log such as tattoos, wrist bands and bookmarks.  There are a range of free or low cost activities each week and the programs are available at each library.  For some activities bookings are essential.  Last week the children made beautiful library bags and this week they are making Magic Spell jars.  There is also a Pizza and Games night at the Echuca branch on Wednesday night from 5.30pm.  There are also terrific online activities for the children to do at http://www.summerreadingclub.org.au/
Please pop into our branches for more information about the activities coming up over the next two weeks before school goes back again.
